The Experimental Theatre Project presents "Woman/Girl"
Richard Hugo House Seattle, WA
From the playwright who brought you the "caustic satire" that "raise[d] your hackles" in last June's production of "Hook the Holy Hollow":
In "Woman/Girl," 15-year-old Sabrina has a new girlfriend: 33-year-old Kate. But Kate is a friend of the family, so Sabrina's mother Ruth works to stop the relationship without resorting to the law. Judy -- Ruth's best friend and Kate's sister -- tries to facilitate their reconciliation, but Ruth can't let go of the most frightening images....
"Woman/Girl" is written by Roxanne Ray, directed by Kerry Christianson, and features the performing talents of Linnet Blumenthal, Cherilynn Brooks, Eileen Fix, Danielle Reierson, and Christine White, plus the design talents of Sunny Giron, Katie Lawrence, Jennessa Richert, Moe Smith, and Bruce Wheelock, as well as Craig Ackermann as Assistant Director, Steve Cooper as Stage Manager, and Amanda Askea and Michael Mowery as the Production Team. Please join us for this exploration of sexuality's perilous outer realms.
The Experimental Theatre Project of White Cat Productions aims to create theatre and performance that pushes experimental boundaries of both playwriting and production. The Experimental Theatre Project seeks to engage in multi-disciplinary experimentation and innovation, as well as artistic integrity and excellence, in all of its performance endeavors. ETP is particularly interested in the relevance of performance to social and cultural concerns, and strives to explore these issues in theatrical form as well as in content.
