TRE Class (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) with David Berceli PhD
TRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return to a state of balance.
This event will be led by Dr David Berceli, an international expert in the areas of trauma intervention and conflict resolution. David has spent two decades living in nine countries and working in 30 countries providing trauma relief workshops and designing recovery programs for international organizations. David's website is www.traumaprevention.com
In this two-hour introductory class (6:30pm-8:30pm) Dr. Berceli will cover the background and theory behind TRE as well as videos demonstrating how he has facilitated TRE around the world. There will also be a short practice session where you can experience TRE (the complete set of TRE exercises will be taught in this class).
