York Labour: Stand Up Comedy - Charity Fundraiser
A fundraising evening of live stand up comedy, with all proceeds going to support York homeless charities this Christmas.

Featuring hilarious professional comedians curated by the Burning Duck Comedy Club.

Kiri Prichard McLean has been making something of a name for herself in the short time she's being performing stand up comedy. A unique and assured comic voice Kiri is whip smart with material to match, an apprenticeship on the North West comedy scene equips Kiri with a presence beyond her years and the rare ability to be challenging in her material without alienating her audience. As recently featured on Radio 4's "The Now Show".

Kiri was by far the funniest & quick witted, one to look out for in the future Leicester Mercury

Refreshingly nonchalant, James Meehan is an offbeat comedian with a razor sharp wit. He is part of the cult comedy hit Funz & Gamez, and a member of the multi-award winning Geins Family Giftshop (as seen on BBC2 and recently commissioned by Sky).

A unique comic voice, Harriet Dyer charms any room with matchless material, an offbeat stage presence and a truly whirlwind fizz of energy.

We want everyone to enjoy their night out and aim for a theatre-like environment when the acts are on stage. Some performers encourage audience interaction, in which case feel free to join in when you are spoken to. Please don't be offended if we ask you to be quiet - other people have paid to listen to comedy, and we expect all attendees to behave in a comradely fashion. Please note listed acts may be changed at short notice.

Age Restrictions 18+

Following two highly successful sold out fundraising events including a screening of The Spirit of '45 with Ken Loach and Q&A with Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell, York Labour Events presents a live comedy night with all proceeds being donated to York homeless charities Peasholme Charity & Salvation Army Early Intervention and Prevention Work.

There will also be a York Labour Party stand, raffle tickets and a collection for future campaign funds.

Proudly presented by York Labour Party & Burning Duck Comedy Club.
