Armageddon Pie
Armageddon Pie is a one location piece of theatre humanizing the apocalypse. We follow eight small town diner regulars, their dreams and wants, and what happens when it all gets taken away. Beginning with the petty troubles of everyday life, the characters soon are thrust into the extraordinary and people find out what really matters to them: each other.

The power's in the people. Whether it's Frank, the grumpy old man who never gets up from his seat except to smoke, or Zach, the fresh faced high school senior ready to see the world, each character has a rich past intertwined with the rest of the characters. Details slowly get revealed from characters' internal desires as information emerges about external happenings.

Founded in 2010, Cor Res Theatre is a revolutionary theatre company mixing the power of long-form improvisation with the polish of written narrative. Over the course of six months, a stage play is written based off improvised ideas and scenes from the cast itself. Everyone gets to create and mold their characters in the process, giving unprecedented ownership of their characters to the actors. Each play is constructed all together because Cor Res Theatre believes that collaboration brings better results.

Julie Pearson directs the show after previous success with Gastrong! The Musical!, Cor Res Theatre's last production, a 15-person, zero budget musical that flipped Beauty and the Beast and changed Gaston into Gastrong, a person too nice for his own good, and everybody else into selfish jerks. She takes from her extensive history with long-form improv and theatrical stage experience to expertly guide the current cast. Writers Allison MacWilliams-Brooks, Bobby Hoffman, and Jeremy Kanne have boiled down hours and hours of ideas generated and created a concise and powerful narrative that intends to present the power of people to each other.
