The 2008 Singles Olympics
We can't promise that you'll meet Ms. Right, but we can promise that you'll make new friends and laugh until your sides hurt! The Singles Olympics is an afternoon of silly - and we DO mean silly! - field events, followed by barbecue and socializing at Carol Wyatt's house.
Registration is limited to 60 participants. UPDATE: We originally posted 2/27 as the deadline for registration. However, we're able to accept new participants up until March 5th! The $40 entry fee includes games, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages (BYOB on alcohol), barbecue dinner and the party back at Carol's house.
We'll meet at the club house/pool area of Carol's subdivision, and we'll divide you into 6 teams, each with 10 participants. After you select your team name and decorate your team banner, you'll march in the Olympic processional. Then your team will rotate through 6 different events, competing against a different team in each time so you'll get a chance to know everyone. The events include:
* Bungee Run * The Duck Walk * Scrabbled Eggs * Les-Boats * Balloon Poppers * The Competitive Cheer (we all gather to watch this one as a group.
The competition will conclude with the awards ceremonies (yes girls, we WILL be awarding Singles Olympics bling!), then we'll head over to Carol's house for barbecue and socializing. You can find out more about all the events, and the structure of the day, by visiting the Social Notes website.
The Singles Olympics is open only to single women (d'oh!). We are limited to 60 contestants, so don't delay - sign up today!
The Singles Olympics is brought to you by Carol Wyatt, Angela Taylor, and Mary Jean Tiernan. If you have any questions, contact Carol at 281-820-1008.
