Romeo and Juliet- Glacier Peak High School
Two young, star-crossed lovers take their lives and reconcile their parents' feud in William Shakespeare's popular romantic tragedy. This classic tale is reimagined and set in 1964 Verona, Oklahoma and is inspired by similar stories of youth rebellion such as The Outsiders and Rebel Without a Cause. Featuring dazzling period piece costumes, cameos from GP staff, thrilling fight sequences, grand video projections, and a rocking soundtrack, this is a version of Romeo and Juliet you've never seen before. Glacier Peak Theatre Club is proud to present Shakespeare's tragic tale which tackles thought-provoking and universal themes of idealism, family loyalty, love, and jealousy. This production is rated PG. We wish to remind our audience that this is a tragedy meaning there will be on-stage violence and blood packs used.
