Unite a Family Fundraiser
One of the 1st Ward's most involved individuals, Enrique Borges, is hosting a fundraiser to help raise money to keep his wife in the country.
Carolina Borges needs money to fund her fight against deportation. She was previously deported over a decade ago and because of this, the fact that she's been married for five years is apparently irrelevant.
Their 13 year old son, Bruno was also born in Mexico and even though he's lived here since he was baby, he is also under threat of deportation. Enrique and Carolina have four other children together.
We shouldn't be breaking up families... Please help keep this family together.

Saturday, September 1st,
4 to 8m p.m.,
where we'll have food, beverages, children's activities and entertainment.
The suggest admission donation is $25.
