Open heart surgery scheduled? Che . . . wait, what was that third one? This plan was already getting complicated, and he and his fiancé still had to figure out the catering.

Now, Lelia can't go outside and play. Her Auntie Sadie just told her that outside there's an Adam Khor: a man who eats children. Auntie Sadie wants Lelia to stay inside and learn to cook. Her uncle wants Lelia to entertain the new American aid workers. In Afghanistan it wasn't safe so her family fled to Pakistan. In Pakistan she's not supposed to trust any of the local people.
