Clay Newman and Do It Live! are cookin' up a batch of sketch comedy for its second round of GroundWorks.
Say "Hello" to Clay Newman, Lindsay Cookson, Hayley Goldstein, Connor Holmes, Matt Stines, Tony Cirimele and Dan Neilan, the Iron Chefs of sketch-comedy!
They've spent the last eight weeks procuring the finest cuts of tender comedy. This August, we're drenching our skits and bitlets in actor-sauce. They'll spend a month marinating in the comic juices of some of San Francisco's finest young comedic actors. Come September 10th and 11th, that funny'll practically be fallin' off the bone, and into your gaping, guffawing gob.
Here's a rundown of the night:
7:30 - Preparty Party at Stagewerx. Selling of libations.
8:00 - Lights up, Sketch Begins
9:30 - GETTIN' DRUNK IN THE MISSION!!!]
We'll be offering more "Humble Beginnings" cards that'll get you either a discounted rate to our future shows, or somethin' special at the door. Because we believe that even theater tickets should be rent controlled.
We've got a mammoth amount of material stretching the whole funny spectrum, from the disjointed and otherworldly humor of Matt Stines, San Francisco's prodigy of sound design, to the tightly wound punchline packing of the city's most underappreciated barista, Dan Neilan.
And for those who are tired of trudging through human waste to see our shows, this'll be at Stagewerx at 15th and Valencia. Hello Mission goodbye Loin. Crack open a cold one with us as we find out what our team of comedy writers have sketched up for the evening's entertainment!
