Mary's Wedding
Johnson Hall Theater in the Third Baptist Church Saint Louis, MO
Echo Theatre Company opens their 2008 season with Stephen Massicotte's award-winning play "Mary's Wedding". Directed by Artistic Director Eric Little, the production stars popular local actors Ben Nordstrom* and Magan Wiles*.
When Mary and Charlie unexpectedly find one another sheltering in a barn during a thunderstorm, a tentative first love is born. But the year is 1914, and they must surrender their love and their fate to the uncertainties of their tumultuous times. On the eve of her wedding, Mary dreams of Charlie -- how they met, their hopes and fears, and their love. Her dream takes us from the Canadian prairies to the mud-soaked trenches of World War I.
Funded by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
