Yes. And Carlos Nunez is one of Galicia's greatest musical ambassadors. In Europe, he plays to sold out stadiums and arenas. He has toured throughout the world and wowed audiences with the Chieftains. In hearing about the intimacy of the Burren Backroom Sessions, he asked to play there. Not a household name in America yet, he soon will be, and we have a chance to host him in Somerville!!
An opportunity not to be missed. In addition to his regular musicians, he has asked fiddler Hanneke Cassel to join him on stage for what promises to be a unique night of pan-Celtic music.

The Burren Backroom series is not quite a year old but has created already many memorable, intimate, informal presentations held in a truly atmospheric space which was created by well-known traditional musicians Tommy and Louise McCarthy in Davis Square, Somerville, Masachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
