Which Way Seattle? Series: African-Americans & Foster Care
Ethnic Cultural Center Theatre Seattle, WA
Which Way Seattle? is an ongoing series of civic dialogues about local and political affairs that directly impact Seattle's African-American community. This program will begin a dialogue around the disproportionality of African-American children in the foster care system. The foster care system has traditionally been seen as biased towards African-American families. What are the solutions to deal with this bias and disproportionality? How do we insure African-American foster children are placed in loving and safe homes while at the same time preserving African-American families? Join the CD Forum and a panel of community members familiar with our foster care system as we attempt to answer these questions and address how our community can reverse these trends.
