Sergio, a young director, tries in vain to convince his producers to help him make an old-fashioned Western but set in the Chilean Atacama desert. Unfortunately, he has neither script nor ideas. He decides to make his way to the driest desert in the world to draw up inspiration- and a plot. As soon as he arrives to this modern day 'western town', people keep referring to him as Diego. Who is this Diego? With a case of mistaken identity, he soon finds himself in trouble with the local crime boss who had it in for Diego. Both an homage and a parody to old Westerns, this film is both suspenseful and funny: old west meets contemporary South America.
