Bay Area Premiere of Ocean Frontiers
The myth of the boundless ocean is no more. But from the troubled waters now rises a new wave of hope, of prosperity through preservation, playing out in communities across the country and intimately captured in the new film by Green Fire Productions,Ocean Frontiers.
Ocean Frontiers takes us on an inspiring voyage to seaports and watersheds across the countryfrom the busy shipping lanes of Boston Harbor to a small fishing community in the Pacific Northwest; from America's coral reefs in the Florida Keys to the nation's premier seafood nursery in the Mississippi Delta. Here we meet an intermingling of unlikely allies, of industrial shippers and whale biologists, pig farmers and wetland ecologists, sport and commercial fishermen, reef snorkelers and many more, all of them embarking on a new course of cooperation, in defense of the seas that sustain us. Filmed in HD.
Ocean Frontiers is a documentary and outreach campaign to inspire and mobilize audiences to better care for the ocean, for the good of all. Join us for an evening at the Bay Theater adjacent to the Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39. Mingle with other like-minded individuals at the opening reception, be one of the very first to see the film in San Francisco, then stay for a post-screening discussion led by filmmaker Karen Anspacher-Meyer.
