Meet 10 AM in Centreville to carpool from
The Fairfax County Park & Ride, located on route 29 near Stone Road, and convenient to I-66.
Last Car will leave Meet Pt. at 10:30 am - Please ensure you are on time.

Join The Art Deco Society of Washington at the South Rail of the Virginia Gold Cup, America's premiere steeplechase race.
For 83 years, the seven horse races of the Virginia Gold Cup have been an opportunity for Washingtonians to come out and play on the first Saturday in May. More than 50,000 people attended last year.
Mingle with the gentry in your sundress and hat (for ladies) or button down shirt and khakis (for gentlemen), or deck yourself out in vintage attire for a true F. Scott Fitzgerald "Gatsbyesque" look.
A rail side 20'x 20' party tent will shelter around 100 guests from rain or shine while 850+ sq. ft. of Railside space provides the most upclose views of nearby jumps. The Jumbotron TV behind the tent allows exceptional viewing of the ponies throughout the race. Please Bring your own Collapsible chairs.
Dine throughout the day on barbeque meats, side items, fruits, breads, and desserts.
Quench your thirst at the open bar with beer, wine, cocktails, juice, soft drinks, etc.
Carpooling - We will meet in Centreville, VA (see above) to consolidate into cars with designated drivers.
Designated Driver Discounts - SOBER, responsible drivers are needed to to take people from the meet point to the Gold Cup and back. Each vehicle should hold 5-6 people, so SUVs, station wagons, minivans, and other land yachts are preferred. Drivers will be reimbursed $20 on event day for their abstinence and gasoline. Email Patrick to register as a driver.
Volunteer Opportunities - Receive FREE admission when you volunteer to assist with set-up, cleanup, and 1-2 hours assisting during the event. Only a few Volunteer slots remain, so contact Patrick soon for details.

RSVP Note - To ensure mail delivery Tickets must be ordered at least a week prior to the event - by Fri 25 Apr.
This event has historically sold out and is expected to again. One week prior to the event Tickets prices are subject to increase and those reserving are placed on a WILL CALL listing only - no physical tickets can be mailed.
PLEASE bring ID.....NOTE: No-one under 21 years old will be admitted.

| The Art Deco Society of Washington Purchase/refund and legal policy: Notice - In the interests of safety, provisions of law and the family spirit of this event, the holder of this ticket and others admitted under it are advised and do agree as a condition of purchase that: Grills, boomboxes, glass containers, open fires, DOGS, other pets, public intoxication, use of illegal substances and soliciting are strictly prohibited; violation will result in confiscation, arrest or eviction from the property. The purchaser, the holder of each ticket or any other guest of Great Meadow acknowledges the risks associated with attendance at this event and accepts any and all risks and dangers of injury and/or death that may occur as a result of transportation or attendance at this event, and hereby releases the Great Meadow Foundation, its Trustees and employees, and hereby releases The Art Deco Society of Washington, its officers, board members, drivers and volunteers, from any and all claims of liability or damages. This event is held RAIN or shine - NO REFUNDS. Gates will close at 7pm. Vehicles and persons must leave the grounds prior to that time. Sales or solicitation is prohibited anywhere on the grounds. Please leave nothing behind but your footprints. Tickets are not refundable. |
