Tang Sauce at TreeCat Cafe
Tang Sauce, a hip-hop artist from Hartford, performs hip-hop jazz fusion at the youth-run TreeCat Café on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Treehouse Community at Easthampton Meadows, 1 Treehouse Circle Easthampton, Mass.

Tang Sauce (John Manselle-Young) is a rapper, musician, and breaker who has been referred to as a torch bearer for the new direction of hip-hop by Abiodun Oyewole of the legendary Last Poets. He is a former member of West End Blend, a 10-piece Hartford funk, hip-hop, soul band. He has also worked with blues musician XY Eli. Maturity, Tang Sauces debut album, was released earlier this year. In addition to rapping and playing several instruments (including trumpet and guitar), he is an accomplished breaker. As a member of United Outkast and T.O.B crews, Tang Sauce has won B-Boy Massacre 8 and Funk the Politics dance tournaments.

Tang Sauce was born and raised in Hartford, CT and the Greater Hartford area. He has been a fixture in the Hartford arts scene for years and has been involved in theater productions like The Wiz, A Raisin in The Sun, and Night Fall. He has hosted the Trinity International Hip-Hop Festival, has his own Pandora station, and has been featured on the cover of Connecticut newspaper CTNOW. Tang Sauce brings an old school hip-hop flow with a new school perspective, which he uses to spread peace, love, and positivity.

Hartford, Connecticuts Tang Sauce is a fresh artist rising from the Connecticut underground.  Enjoy CT Live
