Gardening Through Drought: Sheet Mulching Workshop with CompostGal
Learn the basics for sheet mulching, a technique designed for replacing lawns, covering up dirt or just a weed patch from Lori Caldwell of CompostGal. Sheet mulching builds healthy soil, saves water and recycles resources; a great technique for helping beat the drought! This will be a hands-on class and participants will learn all steps from prep, sheet mulching and planting. Dress for gardening and bring garden/work gloves and reusable cup or water bottle. Bring one 5-gallon bucket and take home some mulch (only one 5-gallon bucket per person). Pre-registration required.
