Five Generations of School Stories
1960s, '70s, '80s, 90s, 2000s what are your fondest, funniest, most touching high school memories? Five generations of Bainbridge Islanders storytell their most extraordinary high school yarns.
You, the audience, will be invited to share yours too, whether your schooling was near or afar. Five generations of music, icons, and period dance will be revisited. Peter Raffa, incoming Chief Development Office for Boys & Girls Club of King County (and outgoing Executive Director of Kitsap Regional Library Foundation), will moderate the the storytelling, and artist Kiplinn Sagmiller (The Women, Cats during the 2011-12 BPA season) will choreograph and demonstrate popular period dances from the last 5 decades, some performances animating the stories we will hear. Sagmiller will be accompanied by 2012 Bainbridge High School grads who studied under her at Bainbridge Dance Center while attending Bainbridge High.
We begin gathering at 6:30pm. Story telling is from 7:00-8:30pm, and then we reconvene for a standing reception with food to meet the story tellers, continue sharing our coming-of-age stories, and say our hooorahs!! to the incoming school year and outgoing summer vacation.
Celebratory, matriculation cake and ice cream with sprinkles for all. Join the fun, bring your kids, parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, tutors, babysitters, best friends, andeveryone you know and love.
