Lila Theatre: Abbreviated Enlightenment
Lila Theatre proudly presents Abbreviated Enlightenment, an entire alphabet of reality-based short-works containing music, art, storytelling, and improvisation in one fast-paced audience-driven show.
Abbreviated Enlightenment attempts to create smarter sound bytes for a short-attention-span society by delivering challenging and interactive performance art in 2-3 minute sketches. A rapid fire of enlightenment, in abbreviated form. Each sketch corresponds to letters in an international alphabet. An English Alphabet program one week will have 26 sketches; a Russian program the next will have 33.
Subject matter ranges from hysterical confessionals to political commentary in this all ages show. The producers provide one caveat, "there is some mature content and language, but it is always tempered by intellect."
