The Clock Tower Studio/Gallery Grand Opening
The Clock Tower Studio/Gallery is the live, work & display space of Oakland-based multi-disciplinary artist, Larissa, located in Jingletown's historic Cotton Mill. The Clock Tower Studio/Gallery also showcases the work of other artists creating a tangible, physical dialogue about the world that surrounds us. Come celebrate! Be part of community transformation & building through Art.
The evening's event begins with a lacto-ovo vegetarian dinner prepared by Larissa. Seating begins at 4:45 pm. Enjoy home-baked bread with soup salad and something stuffed paired with lovely California wine. Proceeds from the dinner benefit F3, the quarterly Art Extravaganza hosted at The Cotton Mill by resident and other select Bay Area artists. The next F3 event is scheduled for October 19, 2012. More information on F3 can be found at http://www.f3oakland.com/. At 8 pm The Clock Tower Studio/Gallery will open up to the public, showcasing "The Marriage Show", a group show including illustration by Sandeep Sood, sewn-paintings by Larissa & photography by Annaliese Moyer. Event attendees will also enjoy a live poetry reading by Bay Area poet, Wulf Losee, live jazz by The Sugar Highs, plus a reading of a new play by local writer, Earl T. Roske.
Admittance for the after dinner show and reception are on a donation basis. Donations support F3.
A portion of sales of "The Marriage Show" benefit Bay Area Women Against Rape's (BAWAR) Oakland efforts. The Clock Tower Gallery is open for special events and by appointment. "The Marriage Show" closes October 1, 2012.
