JASON WEBLEY

Webley appears like a back alley prophet in layers of baggy clothes, a trench coat and an old porkpie hat; he leaps onto stages, window ledges and bartops, feverishly pumping the bellows and stomping out the beat while roaring and whispering in his passionate, gravelly baritone. His music  a mix of gypsy, folk and punk  traverses age and social background, drawing grandparents, children, punks, drunks, and lovers into the fold. As a Seattle Weekly critic observed, "sixteen-year-old Goths, parents with little kids, aging hippies and fellow musicians  all can be seen at his concerts." -- full bio at http://www.jasonwebley.com/press/bio.html

THE CRUX

"Crux Interpretum. How does one interpret the music of The Crux?
One might call it folk punk with a diverse array of musical elements, including the wandering spirit of gypsy, the rowdiness pirate, the unabashed soul of gospel, the fascinating rhythm of jazz, the rawness of blues and the heart of klezmer." -- from Showbams review of The Crux at the Great American Music Hall. Hear it for yourself in this video, and find the full review of their legendary new release here: https://showbams.com//the-crux-leave-their-folk-punk-impr/

ODDJOB ENSEMBLE

Oddjob Ensemble at the Cotati Accordion Festival! Oddjob Ensemble is Kalei Yamanoha's strange and wonderful brainchild, a consortium of multi-instrumentalists and specialists, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With powerful ancient melodies and sounds that twist the ear into a delicious musical pretzel, they touch upon many different cultural influences and find unusual but fascinating combinations of traditional styles, jazz, and progressive music. Largely instrumental, an evening with the Oddjob Ensemble is a showcase of stunning musicianship, exotic tonalities and of course shenanigans.
