CELEBRATE A HOMECOMING AND NEW VIDEO WITH VERY SPECIAL GUESTS
Rising songstress Sarah Borges and her band the Broken Singles hit the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA for a hometown weekend after a tour that has taken them across the US, to Canada and Ireland. The two shows on January 18 and 19 will celebrate the second single, Stop And Think It Over, from the bands 2007 release, Diamonds In the Dark, to hit the radio airwaves. As an added bonus, attendees of the Lizard Lounge shows will be treated to a premiere viewing of the bands first music video.
The video for Stop And Think It Over, will be directed and produced by Hobnox, an international online entertainment content publishing platform with offices in Boston, Berlin and London.
Joining Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles for both shows will be Blueheels, an alt-country favorite from Madison, WI. On Friday, January 18th, Danielle Maraglia fills out the bill. On Saturday, January 19th, the New York City rock and soul band that has both Steve Wynn and Solomon Burke raving, The Teenage Prayers will hit the stage to steam up the crowd for Sarah and her band. Theyll share some soul from their forthcoming album, Everyone Thinks Youre the Best. Both nights are sure to bring the house down!
A recent recipient of the Boston Music Award for Best Local Female Singer, Sarah Borges is signed to Sugar Hill Records in Nashville, TN. Her striking voice and vivid stage presence have captivated audiences throughout the country and beyond. Her band, the Broken Singles, consists of Rob Dulaney on drums, Mike Castellana on guitar and pedal steel, and local music scenester, Binky, on bass.
The bands versatile music styling and lively stage show is enticing entertainment at its best. With Sarah and Binky climbing atop speakers, bars and most anything in site, one never knows what will happen at the next performance! Borges and her boys will continue touring throughout 2008 with spring tours to Austin for SXSW, Germany and Italy.
