Level 2 Class Series: Introduction to Long-Form Improvisation
Apply what you've learned in Level 1 to create an original Chicago-style long-form show called We're All OK: Improvised Group Therapy. This is the story of a support group and the weird universe (real and imagined) its members live in. Heavy on exercises in the fundamental structural components of long-form: scene work, group games, finding the beats, transitions, and callbacks. You'll emerge from Level 2 with the tools necessary to stage longer pieces containing recurring themes and rich characters. Hit the stage at the end of your 5 weeks with another fun graduation performance.
Prerequisite: Level 1, sufficient improv experience, or by permission of the instructors.
Level 2 is $15 per session, payable at class ($90); or, enjoy a discount for paying upfront for all classes ($75).
Classes will be held at techJOYnT in northwest OKC.
Class enrollment is limited to 12 students.
