Workshop w/Dr. God: Writing from Improv (SF Improv Festival 2012)
Sure, improv is a wonderful art form in and of itself but it can also be a useful way to come up with concepts, explore ideas, and learn basic skills like heightening, strong characters, and setup and payoff that can pay dividends in your writing.
Whether you're an improviser wanting to expand your voice into the written word or a writer wanting to tap into new veins of creativity via improv, Hollywood screenwriter and Dr God member Justin Ware will show you how improv and writing can make the happiest of bedfellows.
Justin Ware works as a screenwriter and producer in Los Angeles. He's sold original scripts to Fox, Paramount, and Disney Channel, and he's cut a swath across the rewrite circuit and developed projects with such Hollywood mainstays as Imagine Television, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon.
He's also a member of Dr God, but you already knew that.
