Texas Three-Step: A Progressive Dinner in Fredericksburg, TX
Be among the few to experience a unique evening of food, wine, music and dancing at three special venues in Fredericksburg, Texas, on Thursday, October 6. Its the Texas Three-Step, a progressive dinner in one of Texas most charming small towns.
The evening opens at the Pioneer Museum with vegetarian appetizers by chef Leslie Washburn, and wine from Lost Draw Cellars. Enjoy the museum from 5:30 6:30, and pick up a few items from the Fredericksburg Farmers Market while youre there.
From there, youll travel to the Admiral Nimitz Ballroom at the National Museum of the Pacific War, where Ottos German Bistro will cater a traditional meal of pork tenderloin and braised red cabbage. Live music sets the mood, and wine will be provided by nearby Lewis Wines. Dinner runs from 7:00 8:30.
For dessert, head over to the Texas Rangers Heritage Center where Frances Money will offer you a choice of (or perhaps more than one choice if youre friendly!) three sweet treats: old-fashioned chocolate pudding with brandied cherries and sea salt shortbread, Texas pecan tartlets with a brown butter crust, or apple upside-down cakes with crème fraiche sauce. And while dinner may be over, youre invited to stay and dance the night away until 10:30 to the classic country sounds of Duke Davis & Buckshot while enjoying wine from Pontotoc Vineyard and sparkling wine by 4.0 Cellars. After-dinner coffee or water will also be available.
Parking will be at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center, 1618 E. Main Street, and transportation between all venues and courses will be provided by Majesty Tours.
An evening of food, wine, live music and dancing awaits! Join us for $100/person. Proceeds from the Texas Three-Step benefit Texas Public Radio.
