Chase College of Law

Lecture Description

Larry Flynt is nothing if not polarizing.  Many associate him with over-the-top sexual antics and the degradation of women. Others revere his anti-establishment flair and passion for free expression.  What few may realize, however, is the impact that Flynts carefully chosen battles had locally on the legal and cultural landscape. This interactive lecture will trace Flynts history here, including his highly publicized battles with local government. In the end, you can decide:  Is Larry Flynt truly just a smut peddler or is he a First Amendment icon?
