Comedy Night @Allington
Allington playing field fundraisers are once more promoting professional comedy at Allington Village Hall. We have three great acts who are currently on tour around the UK. They include Lyn Ruth Miller who is the oldest performing stand up female comedian on both sides of the Atlantic.
Brian and Krysstal are a modern day vaudeville musical comedy double act and Andrew Watts is an award winning comedian who has written and performed four full length Edinburgh shows.
The show will take place on Saturday 22 October. Tickets go on sale on 19th September and will be available from the shop, the pub and online.
Some of the material will contain adult themes and will be unsuitable for children.
Andrew Watts Andrew has a distinctive style and very original material. His posh boy humour is intelligent without distancing himself from the audience. Lawyer turned comedian, Andrew is extremely likeable and invariably wins a crowd over as he canters, like an apologetic tsunami, through challenging subjects.
Previously a solicitor in London, he is now a full-time comedian and has written and performed four full-length Edinburgh shows, I Wish I Could Be Like Andrew Watts, Born To Be Mild, Feminism for Chaps and. most recently, How To Build A Chap. All of them received five- or four-star reviews.
Brian & Krysstal Since meeting at The Edinburgh Festival in 2000 Brian & Krysstal have entertained and delighted all kinds of audiences at comedy clubs, cabaret nights, festivals, corporate and private functions in locations far and wide.
Regular fixtures at The Edinburgh Festival for eight years, the duo have worked all over the UK as well as Germany, South Africa, Gozo, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Australia and of course Peckham.
Brian is infamously grumpy and deadpan, while his assistant Krysstal is glamorous but ditzy. The combination is unique and very funny. Their timing is exquisite, their humour dry and sometimes bawdy. Lynn Ruth Miller Currently the oldest performing stand up female comedian on both sides of the Atlantic
Dubbed the new Joan Rivers of Fringe Comedy at The Edinburgh International Fringe.
She is a regular at the San Francisco Punchline, The Stand in Scotland and The International in Dublin and is now chomping at the bit ready now to do her storytelling, cabaret and stand-up comedy throughout the world to prove that her ageing has been amazing.
At 82, Lynn Ruth Miller is still going strong.
