with their eyes: September 11th-The View from a High School at Ground Zero
The Chance Theater Anaheim Hills, CA
"I was just sayin' it must be a dream, it must be a dream..."
Tuesday, September 11, 2001 seemed like any other day at Stuyvesant High School, only four blocks away from the World Trade Center. The semester was just beginning and everyone was ready to start a new year. Within a few hours, they would experience an event that transformed all their lives. Through interviews conducted by the students themselves, 23 stories unfold focusing on a day we will never forget.
"With their eyes, their ears, their bodies, their healthy skepticism, and their hearts." -- Anna Deavere Smith
