Zero Motivation Tuesday, November 22 at 7pm
Winner of the top prize for narrative world cinema at the Tribeca Film Festival, Zero Motivation provides a zany, comedic portrait of the IDF experience. A remote desert military base serves as the backdrop for a platoon of young women soldiers, biding their time pushing paper, playing computer games, and singing pop songs while endlessly serving coffee to the men who run the show. If there is a war going on, it's one against boredom, bad uniforms, arbitrary rules, and doing everything in triplicate. Amidst their boredom and clashing personalities, issues of commitment to friendship, love, and country are handled with humor and sharp-edged wit.
