About the Show: It is 1929 Berlin. A morally and economically spent society is ripe for Hitler. But at the decadent Kit Kat Klub, a charming, soulless Emcee makes light of everything and everyone, and you can forget the terrors lurking outside. Into this decadent Germany splintering fast into fascism arrives a young American novelist. His life quickly becomes entangled with a flighty, ambitious cabaret singer, his pragmatic landlady and her sweet Jewish suitor, assorted lowlifes and frightening nationalistic youth. With its high-spirited and chilling songs, Cabaret continues to be one of the most popular musicals ever produced.
