Prehistoric Professors: Stompers and flyers and swimmers, oh my! Discover and become an expert in prehistoric life! From the largest mosasaur to the little adelobasileus, from the hairiest mammoth to the slimiest ammonite, all prehistoric life will be studied from the Triassic to the Ice Age!

Class times are:
Thursday morning, 10 a.m. - Noon: September 1st, September 15th, September 29th & October 13th, 2016

This program is also offered:
Friday mornings, 10 a.m. - Noon: September 2nd, September 16th, September 30th & October 14th, 2016
Saturday mornings, 10 a.m. - Noon: September 3rd, September 17th, October 1st & October 15th, 2016
Saturday afternoon, 1  3 p.m.: September 3rd, September 17th, October 1st & October 15th, 2016

Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3- to 5- year-olds and their grown-ups to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate.  Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, walks through museum exhibits, and a fun and healthy snack.

Participants may choose to attend either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday morning classes from 10 a.m. to noon. There is also a Saturday afternoon class from 1 to 3 pm. There are 4 classes in each session, and classes meet every other week.

All class participants must be accompanied by an adult. No more than two children may be registered per adult companion and no more than two adult companions may accompany any one child. Permission for attendance by siblings younger than 3 is made on a case-by-case basis with Early Childhood Educator. Maximum class size is 12 children and their adult companions.
Scholarships are available. To apply go to http://www.nmnaturalhistory.org/youth-and-family-programs/prehistoric-preschool and download the form containing the Scholarship application and instructions.  

For additional questions please do call 505 841-2882. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science reserves the right to cancel any event that does not reach a minimum of 6 participants. Full refund will be given if the session is canceled by the Museum due to low enrollment.
