Getting More out of Pilates
Pilates is designed to stretch and strengthen your body in an intelligent way, and engage your deepest core abdominal, lumbar, breathing and pelvic floor muscles. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breath and co-ordination. Yet many people with poor form and even get hurt while trying to perform Pilates exercises.
This seminar will address common problems people face when doing Pilates mat exercises and how the Feldenkrais Method can be used to clarify, access and engage the correct muscles to create the movement that Joseph Pilates intended. You may discover that the Feldenkrais Method and Pilates have more in common than you think.
