Jazz fans are in for a treat when Arthur Sadowsky and The Troubadours play their very special brand of jazz music on Wednesday, July 11, at ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn, NY. Every member of the band is a virtuoso musician who represents the 'cream of the crop' of today's jazz scene in New York. The band focuses on Coltrane's signature interpretation of jazz classics like 'My Favorite Things' and 'Beautiful Love' and are very careful to reproduce his famous 1961 arrangement and the way he used to play the melody, yet manage to mix it with today's sounds, rhythms and harmonies, According to Arthur "The master goal is to keep all generations of jazz lovers happy and musically pleased and yet sound 100 percent contemporary and unique and fresh". The trio will be performing Arthur's original music and arrangements mixed with a very special focus on John Coltrane's compositions and his signature interpretations of all-time jazz classics.
