Cigar City Cider & Mead's "Make It & Take It" mead class includes equipment AND ingredients to make 1-gallon of a Metheglin style mead. Head mazer Jared Gilbert will start the mead with you in class; you finish the process at home. You'll end up with enough for about five (750ml) bottles of mead you'll be proud to share with friends, and the equipment to make more! Great mead is yours for the making (and taking)!
What's included with the class?
*1-gallon glass carboy
*1-racking rod with tubing
*1-rubber stopper/cap with airlock
*honey & spices
*yeast
*nutrient
*fining agents
**750ml bottles are NOT included.
NOTE: There is a 4 person MINIMUM for us to conduct this class. We will let you know the Monday before the class if we have not reached the minimum, and offer you a chance to reschedule. To help us reach the minimum, share this event with your friends.
