Romantasy Cabaret: A Naughty Lil Cabaret is scheduled for another blow-out affair on August 18, 2012 at Club Red in Tempe.
Romantasy Cabaret has been lauded as a "veritable buffet of naughty pleasures", by Arizona Reporter. Since 2007 this bawdy and beautiful show has blended dazzling cabaret with saucy songstresses, vaudeville variety with low brow comedy skits and impressive dance ensembles with sexy burlesque. The show features vibrant stage lighting, powerful music selections, impressive costumes and an engaging, yet bawdy emcee, show creator, Mizz Lucy Morals.
In what is now an annual summer tradition, the August 18 Romantasy Cabaret show will celebrate Mizz Morals' birthday. She promises an upbeat, festive and celebratory show for all to enjoy. In past years, audience members have been known to dress up in by-gone era clothing, retro-party frocks, festive hats, colorful wigs, and other fun attire. They enjoy being as much a part of the affair as the cast and crew themselves. In fact, some show numbers even include willing audience members.
The show will be held at Club Red at 2155 East University Drive in Tempe. The doors open for eager fans at 7:30pm and the curtain rises at 8:30pm. Romantasy Cabaret creates the mood of an old fashioned burlesque show by adding table cloths, candles and party favors to the VIP and reserved seating areas. Additionally, every seat is a good seat at Club Red. The venue's stage is large and raised, insuring that every seat has a good view of some of Phoenix's silliest and sexiest performers.
While Club Red does not serve food, show-goers are invited to nosh on delicious eats from popular Valley food merchant, Chi Chi's Tacos. The crew from Chi Chi's will serve up carne, pollo and even vegetarian fare- at affordable prices.
Raffle tickets are sold at every Romantasy Cabaret to benefit the cast's favorite charities. Raffle prizes include jewelry, Romantasy Cabaret memorabilia, free dance classes, pole fitness classes, music CDs, concert tickets, hair accessories from Torture Coutureand more.
