Join us on an exploration of the Ice Age Floods, to view the remains of the 100 mega floods in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. These floods have etched the physical
topography of our region into our landscape. Naturalist Jack Nisbet will lead this informational tour and will focus on the structural landscape of the Inland Northwest and the spectacular forrests of our region. Participants will also gain insight into the theories surrounding the great Missoula floods and the impact on the local environment.
Bayview is an unincorporated community in Kootenai County, Idaho, that sits on the southwest shore of Lake Pend Oreille. As the largest lake in Idaho, Lake Pend Oreille has over 200 miles of pristine, fresh water shoreline. The tour will also explore the Hayden Lake area,a stunning lake fed by streams and springs. On the tour, youll have the opportunity to learn
about the floods, which helped form these unique areas over 12,000 years ago.
