2016 Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival
The 7th annual Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival (S.O.B. Fest) will be held at the Inn at 835 in downtown Springfield on September 3rd, 2016 from 12-5pm. It will be held rain or shine, because attendees will be covered by the two 100' tents we've secured. Over 30 brands of craft beers will be represented from across the midwest and nationally.
Musical acts The Blue G's and Dan Hubbard and Friends will keep you moving as you enjoy new and unique fine craft libations. Gourmet oyster dishes as well as three confirmed food trucks will keep your belly happy while your taste buds are entertained by delicious brews.
To date, the SOB Festival has donated over $47,000 to area charities. This year we have chosen three charities: Habitat for Humanity, Share the Spirit Foundation, and The Matthew Project. Last year's recipient was the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and they will be on site to show what they did with the $10,000 donation from 2015. This year is shaping up to be the biggest and best event yet- and with you joining us, it's sure to be a blast!
This year's event again includes a VIP Tent sponsored by GFS. VIPs will get: sampling glass, a swag bag, food provided by GFS and prepared by the Inn at 835's Executive Chef, access to indoor air-conditioned restrooms, and access to very special, limited edition brews not available at the regular tent!
With your general admission, you'll receive a special SOB tasting glass and your sample card, providing you THIRTY samples of your choice.
There is a free shuttle that will take patrons to Obed & Isaac's throughout the day for added parking convenience. For any other questions, visit sobfestival.com or call 217-679-6178.
