Sam Amidon in Concert
A solo concert of radically re-worked folk songs accompanied by banjo and guitar, fiddle tunes, and storytelling. The New York Times: "his highly personal approach opens a window on the American past and lets us feel it like nothing else around. The Guardian: "...he is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and arranger who can switch from a sparse, no-nonsense treatment of traditional material to bursts of unexpected experimentation. Esquire: Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Sam Amidon: spokesman for the new, weird America. Tickets also available at the Putney (VT) General Store and in Brattleboro at Everyone's Bookstore (Elliot Street).
