Bootsy and Razowsky & Hamilton (SF Improv Festival 2012)
Bootsy: We hail from The Second City, Hollywood. We headline showcases all over Los Angeles, CA, and have been proud invitees of the Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco Improv Festivals. The 10 performers that are 'Bootsy' have lived, worked, and studied all across the countryour style of improv reflects the circumstances under which we met: serendipitous, unexpected, and diverse. In the words of our namesake: "The secret to walking on water is knowing where the rocks are." 'Bootsy Collins' is Long-Form improvisation for the black, white, gay, straight, gentile, jew, hippie, heathen, east, west, and other. Women be shoppin'.. We gotta save something for a surprise." And we do.
Razowsky and Hamilton: David Razowsky is the respected teacher and former artistic director of the Second City Los Angeles and, as an actor, has written and performed in ten Second City Chicago revues. During his tenure as a performer at Second City he worked with Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Jeff Garlin, and Amy Sedaris, among others.
Rachel Hamilton has performed at the Aspen Comedy Festival, the Montreal Comedy Festival, The Toronto Fringe Festival and has toured the country as a member of the Reduced Shakespeare Company. Rachel's one-woman show, Hamiltonia, recently enjoyed a run at the UCB in New York. She is a frequent guest host of The Young Turks on Sirius Satellite Radio, she currently performs in Magnet's The Deconstruction, and appears regularly on the hit television show 30 Rock.
Together they are magical.
