Vagabond is pleased to present our 5th pop-up restaurant installation to be held inside of the historic City Market in downtown Kansas City.
The lazy days of summer have returned, and with them, comes food memories galore. Chef Alex Pope will be preparing re-imagined foods from your childhood state fair or local carnival. Feast your senses on his unique interpretation of all of our fair food favorites, all executed with a slightly more sophisticated and edgy urban twist. Count on us pulling locally grown summer ingredients from the City Market Farmer's Market to incorporate into our dinner. Please note: This culinary playground for grown-up's only. You must be 21 to attend.
EAT:
Corn dog: chipotle hot dog, rosemary masa and tomatillo ketchup
Popcorn: popcorn with shrimp and black truffle
Funnel cakes: bourbon funnel cakes, cardamom sugar, cucumber ice cream, candied melons
Sweet corn: butter poached corn cob, morita chile, kaffir and key limes
Cheese curds: tempura mozzarella cheese curd caprese, heirloom cherry tomatoes, basil ranch
BBQ: pulled pork burger, bbq sauce aioli, grilled onion pickles, smoked tomatoes

We are also pleased to have Wines of France join us for this Vagabond pop-up experience. Guess what we will be pouring for your pleasure at this event? Yes, the good stuff. Kansas City is a pit stop on a whirlwind tour Wines of France is doing this summer. They are traveling from Chicago to New Orleans in their shiny new Airstream trailer, bringing with them delicious, versatile and affordable French wines you can find right in your own backyard . . .and we will be pouring them for you.
PLAY:
It wouldn't be a carnival without a few midway games of chance and some live entertainment, so you should definitely expect the unexpected. Our dinners tend to feel like a carnival anyways, so come dressed casually to enjoy a night out at our urban food fair.
Remember, you may purchase as many guaranteed seats as you would like. The more the merrier. This will be a weekday pop-up event for us, running Thursday & Friday evening ONLY, as the City Market needs to have us popped down for the weekend Farmer's Market. Far be it for us to stand in the way of the commerce of good food for all. This dinner will be opening seating, with no assigned seats. You will be allowed to come and dine anytime between 6 pm and 10 pm on the night you purchased tickets to come and join us. Each night we will have approximately 100 seats available, so space is definitely limited. Purchase your tickets now for the best dates.
