Flamenco Workshop Ryan and Alexandra Zermeño : Birmingham, AL, August 11-13, 2016
MosaicoFlamenco is proud to present Ryan and Alex Zermeño, who are by popular demand are returning for their second flamenco workshop in Birmingham! They're accompanied by flamenco guitarist Doble T.
This "dynamic duo" has been said to be "the future of Flamenco" in the U.S. They have both studied in Spain under some of the greatest Flamenco masters and have performed alongside some of the best Flamenco musicians and dancers including Domingo Ortega and Nino de Los Reyes. They love sharing their knowledge of flamenco with their students and they work together to help students understand not only the compás and structure, but also the difficult task of dancing to the cante. Each class will focus on footwork technique as well as marcaje (marking steps) and remates.
A master teacher, two flamenco guitarists, singers, percussion. Experience it. NOTE: A & B are for all levels, including complete beginner.

Cajón & Palmas Palmas(cajón percussion & clapping)
Social afterwards.
Sat, August 13
B: 10-11 am: Intro to Flamenco Dance: Technique I
C: 11 - 12:30 PM: Flamenco Dance Technique II
LUNCH BREAK
D: 2-4:30 pm: PATAÍTA Learning to dance with
flamenco guitar and singing.
A more social, laid back intro on Friday night. Saturday is for learning basic technique, progressively building skills, with guitar and singing.
