Funding Know How
For artists and cultural/community organisers A partnership project with the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme
If you are running arts projects, or involving arts/creative activities or artists in your work, this workshop will help you to understand the widest range of ways and avenues to raise funding. We will also explore what makes a good application, and what, frankly, might get yours put to one side right at the start.
Speakers: Carol Lynch, Chief Executive Kent Community Foundation Professor Owen Evans FRSA, Institute for Public Policy and Professional Practice Tristi Brownlow, Lecturer Canterbury Christchurch University
Owen Evans and Tristi Brownlow are leading a research project into the wellbeing effect of festivals. We were interested in their findings and the value of the language they use, which can give you a new insight into the benefits of an event. We felt it would be very useful. Kent Community Foundation manages funds for a range of individual trusts, and match donor to project. Their insight into both sides of the funding mix is invaluable.
Further participants to be announced.
