SWEAR AND SHAKE
For a moment the room is silent, hanging on to a heart-wrenching ballad. Then, in just a few chords the crowd is swept back on their feet again, dancing, smiling and getting lost in the energy emanating from this dynamic band. Kari Spielers voice, rich in tone and powerful in delivery, weaves through her and Adam McHeffeys collaborative songwriting and guitar playing. Shaun Savages creative output on the bass guitar (and often three-part harmony) makes the partnership of story and sound complete. Collectively these artists, known as Swear and Shake, bring an experience to the stagea combination of truthful lyrics; passionate performance, and an easy acoustic narrative.
Ive only seen a few artists bring a room to a hush, only to have their audience whooping and hollering moments later, and these four talented Yankees have joyfully mastered their ability to do so. SYDNEY RHAME
When you hear Sydney Rhame sing, you dont just hear the song, you feel it intensely. Even at such a young age, shes already a super star, and I cant wait to see what the future holds for her, Pharrell Williams, artist, producer, judge of The Voice
At 17 years old, singer-songwriter Sydney Rhame has already spent over half her life writing songs and performing before more than 250 audiences across the country. She is an accomplished guitarist/pianist and has sold out headlining shows as well as shared the stage with many well-known national touring acts.
A prolific songwriter in the acoustic pop-rock genre, Sydneys body of work includes more than 150 original songs thus far. All ages young and old can relate to her songwriting and she is never afraid to bare her unique soul to her audience. Her mature, insightful lyrics coupled with her strong, soulful voice have garnered her much media attention as well as numerous national and regional awards. She was recently a member of Team Pharrell on Season 9 of the hit NBC show The Voice, where she made quite an impact and garnered new fans all over the world. She is currently in the studio working on her fourth CD and is looking forward to graduating from high school this year.
