Zach Schmidt plus Cowboy & Lady
From Pittsburgh, now living in Nashville, Zach began his love for song-writing as a child when he heard "The White Freightliner Blues" by Townes Van Zandt from his Uncles record player. After playing in various bands throughout his life, Zach decided to start writing his own material in the summer of 2011 on a cross-country journey. His first song, " Dear Memphis" was written in the kitchen of a church in Payson, Arizona.
His first EP, "Horse or Truck or Train," was recorded in Pittsburgh, with the help of local bands and friends, Chet Vincent and the Big Bend, Molly Alphabet and Grand Piano. "Horse or Truck or Train" promises to provide a mix of melodic, carefully written songs.
ZACH WILL BE PLAYING WITH A FULL BAND FOR THIS SHOW!
Jess Powers of Cowboy & Lady says:
Tyler-James Kelly first picked up a guitar at age 4 and hasn't put it down since. His love of blues stemmed from his discovery of Robert Johnson. You never know what you're going to hear when you walk by our house on the West Side of Providence. Tyler is always playing along, practicing to such a wide variety of music. One day it'll be Buddy Guy. The next Waylon Jennings. His extensive record collection is on a random rotation from just about any genre.
Me? I've been singing for as long as my memory goes back. I was the unofficial wedding singer for countless cousin's weddings during my teenage years. When I was very young I wanted hair as long as Crystal Gayle's.
I've always loved Linda Ronstadt and have admired her ability to sing any genre and make every song uniquely her own (I am on the hunt for a Stone Ponies record by the way) and no one can beat that voice!
ATWOOD'S IS A MIX OF SEATING AND STANDING ROOM. PURCHASING A TICKET DOES NOT GUARANTEE SEATING!
