The Dumb Waiter By Harold Pinter @ TUTA Theatre Studio
The Dumb Waiter, one of the most provocative and politically engaging works in Pinter's cannon, was written in 1957 but not produced until 1960. The play is known as a dramatic masterpiece, written with a stroke of fascinating simplicity yet reflecting an abundance of themes and ideas.
Although written more than a half-a-century ago, The Dumb Waiter, perhaps more than ever, makes a profoundly moving statement about the modern human condition: it shows us how invisible and subtle the mechanism of power and oppression works in a seemingly democratic society.
TUTA's production of The Dumb Waiter reunites the talents of company members Trey Maclin and Andy Hager, under the direction of Zeljko Djukic (co-founder). Design and Technical Collaborators include: Set Design by Joey Wade; Costume Design by Natasha Djukic (co-founder); Lighting Design by Keith Parham; Sound Design by Chris Kritz; Stage Management by Allison Raynes.
This show is a standing room only show. There are no seats, though we will have a few available to those patrons who have difficulty standing. This is a private event.
