Against the backdrop of the American Civil War, president Abraham Lincoln begins an affair with actor John Wilkes Booth while the sexually frustrated Mary Todd Lincoln seduces General Ulysses S. Grant. Featuring satirical music mocking and honoring the songs of the American civil war, Gaybraham Lincoln asks crass and profoundly human questions about sexuality, identity, and equality.
