Emerging Professionals: Project Tour of Natomas Star Academy
Join AIA Central Valley's Emerging Professionals for a tour of the Natomas STAR Academy project is a new charter school, located at a 5 acre site at the corner of Prosper Road and Gloster Way.  The project is one of the first in the Natomas area since the seven year building moratorium was lifted by FEMA.  The project features 5 new buildings  an Administration/Library building, a Multipurpose building, and 3 Classroom buildings.  Built under the standards for high-performing schools, the buildings feature high ceilings, and lots of windows and skylights for daylighting.  Each Classroom building features a shared learning space, allowing for increased flexibility for teaching and learning, and each classroom has been designed to allow for shifting teaching methods and rearrangement of the class.
