Manifesto
What happens when misogynistic text is manifested in a woman's body? "Manifesto" is a devised performance based on the 150-page document Elliot Rodger wrote before carrying out the 2014 Isla Vista killings. Using only verbatim text, this experimental piece grapples with how society continues to define and intertwine masculinity and violence. The performance takes place in a therapist's office on a bustling corner of SE Belmont. Due to the site-specific nature of the space, there will be only 20 seats available per performance.
Run time is approximately 1 hour.
Performances run from Thursday to Saturday, May 26th-28th, at 7 and 9 PM. Tickets are $12.
