Event
UU Grounding in a Forrest of Cedars
Four weekly sessions on four Thursdays in August: 7:15pm to 9:15 pm. Gather on the first, third, fourth and fifth Thursday, which is August 2, 16, 23, 30. Sessions led by Rev. Jaco ten Hove, co-minister, at the Katz Building.
This will be a good opportunity for newcomers and longtime UUs to both deepen personal identity as a contemporary UU and build relationships together. Using four short, provocative and helpful essays by the eminent UU articulator, Forrest Church, we will explore these aspects of being an intentional religious liberal in our time:
Defining Our Faith Matters of Life and Death "Salvation" From "Sin" Born-Again UUism
Individual sessions can stand alone, but also build on each other. Reading each essay ahead would be highly suggested.
Essays will be provided in advance by Rev. Jaco, via e-mail to registrants or by arrangement.
