The Moonstruck Coyotes
LAVA Music presents The Moonstruck Coyotes in concert in the beautiful Abounding Grace Sanctuary.
The Moonstruck Coyotes, featuring Jim Hogan, Jim Gates, and Phil Anderson, are renowned for their close vocal harmonies and shimmering guitar and mandolin accompaniment. They have been captivating Tucson audiences with their soulful mix of original music, western ballads, folk songs, cowboy swing, and do-woppin' rhythm and blues.
Prize-winning songwriter and performer, Jim Hogan, is a Tucson favorite. He has released three highly-acclaimed solo CD's. He has performed in Europe and at the White House, and his music was chosen to be performed for an audience of 1,200 at the Hope Awards in Washington, D.C.
Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording engineer, Jim Gates, picked up his first guitar in 1966. He has been performing ever since as a lead guitarist in several East Coast bands, as a soloist in Tucson, and as a studio musician. Jim has produced five solo CD's. More recently, he engineered the Moonstruck Coyotes' debut CD "Howlin'".
Renowned Tucson bassist, Phil Anderson, spent his formative years in Santa Barbara, California. Phil has performed in traveling bands produced by Toby Scott (Springsteen, Dylan), Robbie Robertson (The Band), and Toni Stern (Carol King). Phil's inspired rhythm and dramatic low tones are the icing on the Coyotes' cake! Owwwwwww!
The Moonstruck Coyotes will perform at Abounding Grace Sanctuary, 2450 S. Kolb, just north of Golf Links on the west side of Kolb, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Advance tickets are $15 online, all fees included. Tickets will be $20 cash at the door. Doors open at 6:30.
